I didn't mean cheap like $1000, i meant like, under $4-5000. But thanks for your input, i know it's a really expensive job.

just do your homework before you buy one there are so many choices. it just seemed like when I started my install the more I did the more I needed. things just kept adding up like gauges, tune and othe little things. good luck with whatever you decide on.

V2 is a little more efficient, quiter, and makes a little more max boost w/ a higher step ratio.. but in reality they are not much different, the v1 is loud all the time

The MPH mongoose kit is under 4K shipped to your door WITH the tune. I would do ALOT of thinking before using the above link with the real cheap supercharger kit... we ahve delved into this before and its not as complete as the poster would like you to think.

The MPH kit comes with everything you need, down to every last bolt, screw, nut, fuel filter, new IAT, new injectors, new sparkplugs, everything. I got mine right at 3905 with all taxes and shipping paid.

Also, I could be wrong but I don't think your going to hear even the S thru the RPM range. I cannot hear anything from my supercharger other than at idle.

True that on not hearing it, my old 00 gt was supercharged with a novi1000 and I could only hear it at idle as well.

if you are going to buy new then by v2 instead of v1 as it is a newer model that is more effiecient.

But how vital is an intercooler on a daily driver? Is it basicly a requirement?

Well not really a requirement. Without the intercooler on a stock bottom end u can run around 6PSI with timing reatarded. so you are at great disadvantage with power gains. The intercooler allows your to run at 8PSI without timing retarded but advanced and makes a cooler temp of boost air charge. We all now cooler is better. So for the extra $1000-1200 it worth not having the worry of detonation.
