Default idle problem

What would be the problem when putting on the brakes or turing the wheel to cause the idle to get real rough and sometimes kill the eninge. is this just a bad power sterring pump or is a sensor out of wack. its my 98gt, if that makes a difrence

manual.
nope it only does it when im turning or braking. those two units are one on the mustang, because i know if you loose your brakes you loose your power steering too or vis-versa. is it a bad power steering pump, thats what im maybe thinking but im not sure.

the brakes run off hydroboost(which feeds off the power steering pump)on 96+stangs

Could be something like the pump or maybe the IAC isnt responding as quickly to increase air for the increased load, mine does it sometimes, never dies though and never is that noticble of a rough idle

also could be the hydroboost itself going out(hope not, SOB is expensive)

alright thanks it could be the IAC, just because its been 100k miles it might be all worn out, and its a cheap part to replace, if not ill have to try the power sterring pumps, thanks a lot for the help.
