finally got Headers in!!
So i finally got the time to work on my car tofinish upmy headers in. I went with BBK shorties, and what a pain in the *** to install. I kno people say its easier to drop the k-member but i didnt, i worked around it and ended up finishing putting the headers in with 5 hours of work in it with me and my dad. So glad its done and finished and now spring is coming up!
I think its around $200 more for long tube, but it depends on if you go with ceramic or chrome, and obviously the ceramic is more money. I went with shorties because i think i would be bottom out with long tubes cause my car is lowered 2"
[align=left]It's all depending on the car and place you buy it from, anywhere from $50-$200 (that being for a cobra). But for GT's around $50-$100. But even tho I think LT's are overrated, if you decide to go with headers get LT's.

for the power gains on a bolt on gt long tubesare overpriced. but for a supercharged gt you see better power gains for that kind of money. it all depends what your goals are for your car and what kind of power you are going for.
^^^^I started it up with open header and it sounded so nice, I havent hooked it up to my H-pipe or to my flowmasters yet but im doing that this week. Im sure it will sound a littlelouder with the new headers, h-pipe and flowmaster hooked up,but its obviously louder with just headers on. Im waiting like another month or so when the salt is gone to take it for a ride
Did your headers com with a gasket for the passanger side? cause the one side of mine are flanged and the other is flared. The guy who was installing my headers today said that the kit didnt come with it, so he orderd one for me but wont be in till the next day. The other gaskets to the header to the engine were there. Im so freakin pissed so I called summit up and told them what happened. All they could say is sorry but they did give me a $25 gift certificate.
My headers just came with the gaskets that go on the header to the cylinder heads, but no gasket from the header to the h-pipe. My driver side is flared and bolts to my h-pipe..doesnt need gasket and passenger side is flanged and didnt need gasket..never heard of having gasket there. My dad put headers on his 1973 Camaro and he got hooker headers and it only came with the gaskets that go on header/cylinder heads....
Might wanna check just to be on the safe side cuz my mechanic said that it should of came with it and I would have a exhaust leak that would burn one of my valves. did you check to see if you had any leaks? just to be safe...
