i have a 2000 gt with a custom chrome intake that came with the car, would it be better to switch out to an open filter instead of the chrome tube, i have a diablo tuner running, with plain flowmasters i'm not racing or anything just want to do a lil *** grabbin' if i have to & don't want to spend mega $ to do it

If theres one thing I don't get, its why people run their cars with the air filter exposed inside the engine compartment. All their doing is sucking in hot engine air which isnt good. Is this what you had in mind.? Post a pic to give us a better idea.
