Went to Discount Tire and measured my new Nittos 555's. The 275's were the same width as the Coopers I have now. Didn't measure BFG's, but the Nitto's and Coops were exactly 10.5 inches across the tread.
Maybe it's only the DR's that run smaller?

Only the Nitto drag radials run small.
I have the 275 555r's and they are definitely not as wide as a normal 275. They look fine, but I will probably get getting 315's next time.
