70k is just breakin in time in my opinion. I have two mustangs a 99gt and a 03 gt the 99 has 135k on the clock and the 03 has 45k and the 99 runs just as strong as the 03 and no oil leaks or anything. knock on wood lol!

I purchased an 04 gt motor from mps auto salvage with 12000 miles for 1800 dollars.

i'd say about 1000$ (maybe a little higher) is a fair price for that motor with 30k miles on it. unless its got the tranny and stuff on it too i wouldnt pay 1800$ for it tho. i'd give the guy a couple weeks and see if its still for sale. if it is he will probably come down on price.

i've seen them sell for much cheaper than 1800$ keep looking (i know your car is down and you need it but i wouldnt pay that much)
