Default Engine trouble

Well i just recently got my car out of the shop from getting a new clutch. I didnt really notice until i was on my way home but when i bring it above 3,500 rpm, the engin rattles the car like crazy. Also, when i was cruzing, i sounded like i was goin 80 with one window open, like a popping noise... Does thet sound like anything in particular?? i think its the engine bc the engine bay smells like tar and when i just rev it upin neutral, it vibrates as well. I need help.

I had this same problem with my old 97 v6. The flywheel has to be balance (weighted properly) so that it will function. It sounds like they messed up your car. I would take it back and tell them that they messed it up and they want it fixed. if they are a decent place they should admit their mistake as my place did.

silver is right they messed up your car, but the fly wheel is balanced b4 it is ever installed the first time and thats it unless it gets refaced which it may need at least thats the way it was on older cars
