Well, I like to think I am the"cool" brother staying true to American Muscle! Exhaust upgrades are definitely in the runnings for possible changes as well as the gears. Other than the feel of driving a throaty monster, how much change in performance have you all noticed from an upgrade in exhaust (cat-back)? Also, how much would the power band shift if I had a set of 4.10 gears?

you will notice NO power from a cat-back.

when u get 4.10s, your power-band does not shift. all gears do is act as a torque multiplier, thus getting you IN your power-band faster.

So, if Iinstall the 4.10 gears will I be able to adjust for them so that my speedometer and odometer readings are not screwed up?

You will either have to use a tuner or a Speedcal from iirc Dallas Mustangs.

Man i have a 2000 stock Mustang gt and i raced a cai, header s2000 and handed him his ***. (i am not a pro either, and he was pretty good i thought) The light turned green and he popped out in front by a foot or two and i just started pulling by second gear. at 70 i had 1 1/2 cars. race him and put down another Muscle car win.
