4.6 convert to 5.0
hey guys i recently took my engine out and cant make up my mind with what i want to do with my engine. I dont think im going to forge my block and supercharge it, im just going to get a bike with the 5000 a kenne bell cost.
My dad asked me why i dont just make my engine a 5.0 .. I never thought of this as adding power just because i really dont know how it would add power.
What kidna hp gains would i get by stroking my engine out to a 5.0? and what do i need to do to do this?

without supporting mods it will add nothing.
With supporting mods it will add very little.

You'd be better off with the KB. Going NA with a 2v is a very expensive road to travel down.
The problem with stroking the 4.6 comes from the very small bore. You can add all the stroke in the world but with our small bore there really isn't a whole lot you can do. It's a really limiting factor.

The 4.6 already has a long stroke to it. Two people can build two different motors, one stroked, one not and the engine thats stroked can have the same results as the stroked engine. IMO if the individual building technique can affect the difference +/- of # 's, then it's not a mod I'd do.
The only thing that really can help would be the Big Bore but it's so darn expensive there's no point for the average street car. If you want the extra tq then get a KB or N20. I went with the V2 because I was impatient and poor.
