i say no its NOT hit or miss... its driver... end of story

if you keep it consistant... i.e. fuel level, track, shift rpms, etc, etc etc... the car will run 13.7s all day long

each night i went, i ran atleast 2 13.7s, out of 3-4 runs... becuse usually one or two runs id miss a gear or launch too hard...

id never get a run in and be thinking, yes that was a good run,and it go 13.8... that feels like a **** run

bottom line... stock

preped track-13.7s at 102
unpreped-13.9s and a single 13.8

no more stock runs for me tho, gears ftw!

It's definately driver, it was the first night I've ever run down the track. I got some practicing to do. BTW dimebag, did you have gears in your car when you hit 13.7? I thought I saw a post the other day about you finding out there were already 3.27s in the rear.

Guess I got some work to do down at atco raceway then. I'd like to get a halfway descent time w/ what I got before I throw some more mods on.

Sounds like your mechanic is a over inflated balloon clown that needs to be punched in the face a few times! Bumped timing way up and race gas, WTF ever!

Just out of curiousity, for all you 5speed guys, are you doing your burnouts in first or second?

so the timing adjusters do nothing for the mod motors? he told me this I cant believe it but they do build some 8 and 9 second street cars , most modded cars here only run 13.50's with every bolt on , I forgot about timing and tuning for race gas...Steeda's Patented Timing Adjuster lets you advance or retard your ignition timing up to 10°, so you can tune your car for optimum performance. Advancing your ignition timing can net up to 10 horsepower and better gas mileage. Supercharged Mustangs can also benefit by setting the timing back a few degrees, which allows you to run more boost and avoid detonation. We went the extra mile designing this part, to make sure it will fit with Steeda underdrive pulleys or Vortech and Paxton superchargers. Will not work with “piggyback†style underdrive pulleys.

U.S. Patent 461,481

NOTE: May cause the “check engine†light to illuminate if the timing is advanced to more than 14° on 1999 and newer Mustangs. thats all he said ran a good exhaust , 90'10 struts strange 10way shocks , 4:30 gears and shaved a little weight with weld front and back ,put in some c -16 whatever that is and raised the timing... clicked off a 1.72 60' and ran a 13.02 at 100mph ... that would be a 12.4 at sea level with our air...
