Default DIABLOSPORT PREDATOR TUNER U7146

I just received my Predator U7146 for use on my stock 2004 Stang GT 4.6 SOHCw/manual trans &BBK CAI.

Can any one give some input about what I can expect when I install the performance tune?
Is there a noticable difference in HP gain?

I have read many different reviews but I think coming other Mustang owners I will get better answers.
Thanks all

If you tune it for, and run, 93 octane fuel there will be a noticeable difference. You may also find that gas mileage improves a bit.

I will eventually put on an "X" pipe, upgrade the throttle body, rear end gears (4/10's)and a few small things in the short term, later this summer I'll spend a bit more and go with a SC......I'll cross that bridge once I get there. I was reading some reviews on the Pred and quite a lot of them claim to have gotten a big bang of performance with a stock setup just from the performanse tune. I wanted to see if that were true....thanks ya'll

I installed the performance tune.....I am impressed! I was very concerned that I spent my bucks on something that wouldn't put out. I noticed a smooth run through the gears, much quicker off the line and throughout the gears. Felt like "the old days" (70's) right after you just tuned your ride and the difference was night and day. I like it, will recommend to others.....thanks for your help in here, have a great weekend. I'm gonna go burn some fuel....! [8D]

I tell those that will listen that a tune or tuner (the latter having ongoing value) should be the 2nd mod (after a 2-1/2" H/X-pipe and catback). Even if you insist on sticking with 87 octane it WILL make a difference. That advantage to a tuner vs. a tune is that once you have the tuner you can accomodate the other mods you'll be making without having to go back to the shop.

I loaded it up! I did feel a significant difference, runs better, quicker off the line and thru the gears, most definatly a good unit. I am running 93 oct, hope the mileage is better and not the reverse! What is the difference between the "X" pipe and the stock pipe on the Stang? I haven't had the car jacked yet, looking from the side the stock pipe looks like an "H", this is just for a "tuned" exhaust correct? Thanks guys
