I had one made at my local Ford dealer a few months ago.
60 bucks.

I was worth the peace of mind. Having only one key is scary.

yeah it is pricey for a dup key but any hardware will copy it so you can at least get into your ride but not start[:@]

If you loose your ONE key...it will cost you a lot more for the tow job to the dealer
and a lot more for them to fix it. Not to mention the aggravation.

I hate to even mention them, but Walmart has these keys available (with programming).

Any local locksmith shop will have the programmerFluke makes a kit with "personality modules" that works on nearly every car with similar key coding.$40 to $50 is the usual price for the key and programming same. Also, you don't need to remove the "chip" and solder anythingjust tape a key tp the lock assembly under the plastic sterring column cover. PersonallyI like PATS, I never lock my car and leave the windows down unless it raining. There's nothing of any value in it, and the PATS (you'd have toreplace the instrument cluster and PCM with a programmed matched pair to defeat it) is very effective at ensuring no one is going to steal it...
