Trans-Go all the way... It seems to be the benchmark standard for the AOD-E..
As for Trans-coolers, there is a variety.. To be honest with you, the generic one you buy at Autozone is just as good as the $150 piece they sell in Summit.. The key is finding the Efficiency range. When I had mine, I knew that I would be beating the sh-t out of it daily, so I chose the one made for vehicles towing in excess of 3500lbs.. It dropped the temps by about 25% average, when used in conjunction with the shift kit..

Go TCI! Read the article on the 99 test stang. They used the Trans Scat Kit and the Converter and took off 4ths off their stang's 1/4 mile time. If it was at sea level, it would have run 12's.

Yep.. The only issue you may have with one of the generic coolers, is that you may need to fab up some sort of mounting bracket for it.. The good news is, you don't need to run additional lines, since there is a tiny cooler integrated into the radiator... I believe they are -AN fittings, and I believe they provide adapters to go from an -AN or flare style fitting, to a soft rubber line.
I bought some small pieces of angle iron and made up a little bracket that would fit in the front fascia, that used self-tapping screws. I never had to worry about it fall out, and like I mentioned, it significantly decreased tranny temps..
