yeah I see that. I guess it depends how good you are at shifting. I never go above 5200 myself but thats my band but after shift I'm still at 5000

lol. You're joking right? It only drops 200rpm? Do you have 5.90 gears?

You aren't supposed to shift BEFORE your peak power. If you did that, then you wouldn't ever be able to use your most productive range of power. WOW. I say go 2-300 rpm past your peak.

Wow! If a car really did only drop 200 rpms after shift you would be doin some hella shiftin. You'd hit 5th before the 60 ft mark! lol

IMO you don't want to shift after peak power, the reason i say this is b/c you do notactually get out of the gearyou are in when you see it at a certain rpm that you want to shift at. Pull it at peak and it will go100-200 beyond which will still be making good power (the powerband won't plummet after peak, justwon't pull quite as hard). That is just my .02 from experience.

I know I would love to see how you guys shift in a race I'v seen lots of vids posted of you guy's doging the hell out your cars at the track. whenyour car is under powered you need to know how to shift to win. and no it doesnt go below 5000 maybe 4900 but who knows. instead of you folks acting like it cant happen cuz your not good enough get out and practice you will blow your trannyafter awhile though.anyone find that thread with the vid so you think you can shift???
