I own a honda that makes more HP than you Mustang.... I would hope your trans would hold up to 150k.

there are a few in car shots and you can see rpm drop. granted they were not shifting as fast as guy in vid but they are only dropping 400-500 rpm's. I would love to put up a vid but 1) no camcorder and 2) my tranny blew the f*ck up racing my brother's srt-4, shift forks broke and fell into gears, most hanis. but thats the price we pay to play . and I shift at 5200-5400 rpm's not 5k peakis at 5500. so do you think that guy had a 28 speed tranny?? ooh no must have been a 46 speed hey hoss.
i think its funny that u base how well u drive your car, on how many trannys u go through... maybe you should earn how to drive and u wont go through so many...
if I drive "normal" they last for years but when I start power shifting they don't last long. think it's true with any trans. any more retarded comments hoss? ya know this is why oxford left right too many kids that haven't done things for themselves telling others oohh that cant be done. well let me tell ya if you practice you can do it also.
and I got 150,000 on the clock so I guess my trans did ok huh been driving this thing for lets see 5 years now. thats alot of abuse.

There are 3 ways
1 and most accurate get the thing dynoed and look at the chart
2 drive it and go until you feel like tq begin to fall off

the third one (my favorite) works for me but none of my firends can seem to figure it out, when pulling through a gear (3rd is good because it goes a little bit slower) listen to the engine, the sound changes slightly when you exceed the cam profile's effective rpm range.

i would say 6200 rpm to the op, i shift mine at that just because it works best for me, when i first took the car to the track i ran a 14.2 shifting at 5200 rpm. the next time i went to the track i tryed shifting at 6200 and ran a couple 13.9s. if your feeling froggy i would say take that 4v up to 6500 because i believe it would still be pulling, just because its rated a certain horsepower at a certain rpm doesnt mean it wont keep pulling past that, thats how manufacturers keep insurance costs down.
