I rode in a friends 07 GT and it doesn't feel faster than my car (03 GT). IDK, his is bone stock, with me having only exhaust (O/R X and Flows) and K&N filter....With those few of performance mods, the cars can't be that close can they?

the 05 gts have much better ride quality, suspension, longer wheel base, and better struts and the list goes on....which is why they feel so slow. Basically a for an 05 to FEEL as fast as the previous generation it needs an intake and a tune. This will bring them into low 13s, which is a second lower than the previous gen, yet feels just as fast. The stock 07 and 05 you both drove may have felt slower, but only a horrible driver can pull a 14+ in them in the 1/4 mile, autos are consistant high 13s, stick are newhere from 13.5-14 flat in a bad driver. i ran a 13.6 in my auto stock, and a 13.3 with a custome sct tune and axle back. So you def need full bolt ons and maybe more to get the low 13s most are running now. To be honest most that leave it stock wont even give u the chance to race cuz they dont lol.

that sounds about right ur almost full bolt on and he was stock ur def runnin better than 13.8 which is wut u need to hope for a win against the new stock models.
