Default Paint Matching

My hood right now is flat black painted by the previous owner, but now it’s had some vandalism and it’s very hard to keep clean. So I want to paint it back to stock with the factory hood stripe. My question is, is it possible for them to find an exact match for the azure blue so it will match?

Blend the fenders and you'll be fine. It's more expensive but you'll not be able to tell any color difference or shade variance that way.

Just take it to a reputable shop...I didn't have my fenders blended when I got my hood painted, and it matches perfect. No need to spend the extra money for blended fenders. Thats just an excuse for the painter to not take as much time to match the color...and you will always know that the color may be different...I dunno, I just wouldn't do that.

[blockquote]Jon, blending is the way 99% of the painters out there will do it, it is easier and cheaper than trying to tint the base. There is nothing wrong with blending.

x2 you'll still end up paying for tinting anyway. 1 hour tint time or 2 hours to blend (plus r&i's) I'd blend but that's my $.02
