lol...
I ended up paying 15k. The clutch and engine sounded fine. No weird noises, grinding, etc.
I might remove the stripes. The car itself was in immaculate condition. The warranty applies to the engine as long as it still has it's factory settings.

Some of you mentioned that the supercharger could eventually blow the engine if it wasn't forged or tuned properly. The seller actually mentioned that I might want to go to a performance shop and have them tune the engine. He said if I save the original settings I can reset the engine to them and Ford will never know.
^ Can any of you elaborate on that? True/False? Or maybe a link that can explain what I should do to make sure that the supercharger and engine are running smoothly, together?

I'm reading a lot about these cars everyday but help/tips are always appreciated. I plan to add some better brakes a little bit later on.

Thanks for all the responses, sorry if I got a tad snippy earlier.

Edit: Damn it. Damn it. Damn it.
I asked him to get the car smog tested and it didn't pass for a couple reasons.
Now I have to wait and find out if he can get these issues fixed.

it probably failed miserably if it has anything other than the stock cats on it. Those high flows are borderline illegal. Most of the time they just FAIL. It sounds like he doesnt have a tune at all? Ask him if there is a tune, PERIOD. If not, and you still get the car, make that your first stop, NO MATTER WHAT...

I'd like to know where it got tuned, if it was in a shop on a dyno or is a chip, did it come with a hand held tuner. If you don't know then down the road if you plan on getting it custom tuned I hope they can erase the existing tune. I know Kenne Bell gives you a chip to replace. Others like Paxton/Vortech, you have to send them your computer so they can install their tune.

I haven't actually picked up the car yet or exchanged money. Right now, I'm busy second guessing myself.

So... after hearing what you guys had to say and talking to my uncle, a ford fanatic, [he just built two model T's] I've decided to look for a stock GT and just add some basic stuff [better brakes, window tints, etc.] until I have a better understanding of theses engines.

What the seller told me was, since he replaced the engine, it now has a 3yr./100k mile warranty. ...Is that what you were asking?
