Default Test Drive: (need help)

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...on=&max_price=

I'm test driving this car today. Unfortunately my friend/mechanic won't be able to come with me. Though I'm learning as fast as I can, I just don't know what problems to look for with his combination of after market parts. I was hoping some of you might be able to tell me what to look for.

Nice price. I can't say I like those stripes but aleast it has a new motor(Forged I Hope). While your in 5 gear cruising on a flat grade tap the gas and see if you hear a clanking noise from the driveshaft.

you can get a 4v for that price.

I don't plan to offer him his asking price.
I've been looking around this area for the last couple months so I feel that this deal is reasonable.

I don't mean to come off like an *** but since my time is limited I would appreciate posts relevant to my initial question, thanks.

comes with a 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty make sure that the supercharger doesnt void the warranty but i doubt it does since they list it. it looks good. main thing you can do is get the history report and see if they will let you take it over night when i bought my car they let me. then you can take it to a shop? turn off radio when your test driving listen for sounds and things like that try to feel how the clutch is. and ask if the engine is Forged if its not that supercharger with a poor tune will blow it sooner or later. other then that theres not much you can do. really nice looking car.

One thing you need to look for is a different car for a different price.

BUT if your set on that one, look for different noises/ticks, make sure all features and functions work, ies blinkers, hazards, trac cntrl, fog lights, rear defrost, cruise control, power windows, locks, e-brake.

I'm with this guy and I live in Vancouver. You can do better for the money. If you must have it offer 15 ca$h and walk away with a clear conscience if he gives you grief...

The stripes are weird, but it's a cool car.

Apparently a general took the picture of the fender.

My fear would be the tune with the supercharger. Try and figure out if it's a boxed tune or if it was actually tuned using real software.

Then like stated before, turn everything on and make sure it all works. Make sure you put the windows up and down.

Oh and also make sure you get the car into all of the gears including reverse to make sure you don't have a transmission going out on you. If you feel any grinding start talking a lower price real fast.
