hello all!!!
It could have been street driven, but it was a track only car for me. It's been out of comission though for the past 4 years. I am slowly building it into a 7 second car, but am taking a break until I finish my Masters.
I bought the 1996 GT this year to have another Mustang for "cruising" purposes.
i know the engine in mm&ff is at the flywheel, bit i think with some more tuning, and maybe testing different intakes, and the story also says a stroker kit could add another 40-50hp which would be over 400 at the wheels.also the story says this is a pump gas motor, and i never saw anything where they bored it.they just put different pistons with a stock stroke, stage 3 heads, and custom cams w/stock intake.i know theres 400hp in the air for that engine easily you non believers will see in future issues it will happen.but we've got way off subject no one has actually gave me any insight on which way to go even to get a nice street strip set-up.everyone is arguing about 400hp at the wheels, when my question was totally opposite of whether it would make 400 just thats what i was shooting at,and whats the best path to take for this goal.thanks to the guys that believe in my goal, and it will happen.i've got 12.8@119 with a 125 shot wet kit,355 gears, and a diablo tuner on 92 octane,5-speed.other than than completely stock '98 gt on stock goodyear 225/55/16 on stock wheels so i'm going in the right direction.
