Default LT Headers

I searched without any satisfactory results...

My question is. Are LT’s worth it if a shop will install them? Are the hp/tq gains worth it? And what is the difference between the SLP ($900) and BBK ($500) LT’s?

Dude if you get LT's get the BBK or even Mac. SLP's are not going to give you anymore HP than the other two and if they do, it's won't be worth the extra $$$$$$$$$$$44

Thanks, good to know. What kind of ballpark numbers would you expect from them? 5? 10? If im going to spend over a grand on this, and only get 5 hp, it doesn't seem worth it at all to me.

well bbk's are mild steel with ceramic coating on them and slp's are stainless steel and are ceramic coated if i remember right. also, slp's i think are going to be better quality than bbk's because i heard that you should check the ports on the headers out because they could have some excess weld in there restricting flow. and also on 2v cars, longtubes wont net you much unless you have heads and cams or some sort of f/i or nitrous. they will net you some, but not a whole lot. they are more for sound if you dont have heads and cams/f.i./nitrous. and really, the install on longtubes is gonna be like a lot of money that could be saved to buy like a supercharger or a nitrous kit and will net you a whole lot more. thats just my concensus. but more than likely, a lot of other people on here will agree cause thats where i gathered most of my info.

yea, you are looking at maybe 5-10rwhp but they do change the power curve to move the powerband up and give you better mpg from what ive been told by a few of my friends that have them.

What are you plans for the car? Where do you want your car to be in 3 years. It's a long and very expensive process. A complete NX 2v plate kit with accy's are going to run you around 1k. If you go the s/c rout, your looking at 4-5k depending on what you get. You need to make a list of what you plan to do to the car and start checking them off as you go. Good luck and you know the guys here are more than willing to help when you ask

Alright, thats what I thought. I DO however plan on getting supercharged in the future. But I still won't be able to put them on myself... maybe a friend can. So based on that (FI in the future) should I invest now or wait?
