No, not at all. I don't regret it in the least bit. Was it worth 5K? nope, but at the least I have a rear that is going to take a ton of abuse and not break.

What I meant was, since I can rarely afford an open track event anymore, 5k in a suspension set up is slightly overkill for just the street.

Is that a little less confusing?

It seems people either praise or criticize what Dime does at the track. I just don't see what's so hard to believe.
I don't think this is as much a discussion about stock style suspension as it is the amount of cash you throw into it. You can upgrade your UCAs/LCAs to adjustables or double adjustables with spherical bushings, and throw in adjustable shocks and struts with coilovers all around, and as long as you use the factory mounting points for the shocks it's still considered a stock-style suspension. The discussion is how much more do you believe you're really getting out of it, and is it worth the extra couple of hundred or more to gain two or three tenths over a setup that cost under $400?
As far as people criticizing Dime, it's just how these cars are percieved. I've seen new edges on Pass Time run mid to high 14s that had blowers or nitrous setups! Some perceive these cars to be mid 15 sec. cars stock, so if your pulling off low 14s, you could easily believe your working miracles. The fact is there are alot of people out there that don't belong behind the wheel of ANYTHING, much less a mustang. And those of us pulling low 14s and high 13s are really just descent or ok drivers, and it comes as a shock when you meet someone that happens to be a very good driver and can pull off 13.7s in a stock car. Looking at what most of us are used to seeing its very hard to believe.

I'll be the first to agree that cheap = good. I love buying cheap/used stuff and making it work on my car better than someone else with expensive stuff. BUT THAT TOTALLY GOES OUT THE WINDOW when **** starts coming apart. If it works, but just not as good as the more expensive parts. But when it fails, I'll take the loss and go buy something nice.

Summit control arms sucked for me. I know I was launching harder than 1.6's, but I figured them to hold up to more than they did. They were ****ting out UCA bushings almost every pass. So I threw on some lakewood boxed uppers and boom. Went from 1.49 to 1.43.

I spent around $3,000 on my suspension and wouldn't have done it any different. I cut 1.5 60' and with the final upgrades I should cut 1.1-1.3.

I just installed summit upper and lower control arms and i will tell you that they helped A LOT. Like dime said they may not be the best out there but for 100 bucks they are pretty damn good.
Just a suggestion for the sig, at the bottom maybe you should change it to "All i want for christmas is 12s" unless ur jewish or some other religion

and @ the O.P don't throw the Summits in the trash if u find better ones, i'll take em .
