Default Wiring Problems

Ok so, I have a 1999 mustang GT and I tried to wire my fog lights to work independently from the rest of my lights. I followed the directions from Mustangworld.com to the "T" and it did not work. I even tried using the directions from Americanmuscle.com but it just confused me cause none of the wire colors were right. I can still use my fogs but only when the car is running and the headlights are on. I didn't know if anybody has run into this or has some suggestions but anything would help.

Thanks,
Dan

All you need is a relay and a separate fused (to protect the circuit) power feed for the fog light switch.

Can you give me some more detail cause I am not really experienced in wiring things? Sorry, you pretty much have to spell it out to me.

Thanks,
Dan
