Unless its his DD and he runs a lot of highway miles, then he might not be too thrilled.

I got my gears, 4:10's with install and fluids for a final walk out price of $266.11 this morning. You just have to find the right connections. Then you would have to get the speedo corrected. The speed cal doesnt work on 2000 GT's (if he has an automatic like me). That means you would need a tuner or a dynotune. Tuner will cost 300 dyno 500. Past your budget. But if he has a manual, then gears should be the route to go. 180 gears + install 200 + 100 speedcal= 480.

lol you guys are drillin her with all these things!!!

I agree with HOSS that you are the best GF EVER!! my ex-gf would never get me car stuff

anyway.. i would NOT get him gears simply bc it might be more than he is willing to do with his car.. he may not want to even get involved with all of that...

if he has a manual, i would most definetly recommend a steeda tri-ax short throw shifter or a MGW short throw shifter... this will make everyday driving a blast

if he has an auto, definetly get him a tuner.. it will make his car much more responsive and fun to drive

if you think he wants style, get him new headlights (smoked clear corners) and a mach 1 chin spoiler/grille delete

$500 is a great amount to spend.. you will be LOVED

Gears are the best band for your buck, but a terrible gift idea.... I agree with HOSS totally either get an accufab 75mm TB and Plenum, or a tuner... if his car is an automatic, a tune is the best mod you can buy him

And whoever was saying 75mm will make you lose power, your an idiot

I agree with HP! Gears may be a bit much for him. He may not want to mod it THAT much!(But they certainly are a kick in the pants!)

Like HP said, Shifter is a great gift and an easy install. My preference would be the MGW shifter. For an auto, the tuner.

For looks, smoked clear corners(like the ones I'm selling! , mach ! chin spoiler/grill delete. I'm also going to add an Aluminum coolant expansion tank and/or a Aluminum Power Steering tank. I just happen to have one of each for sale too! (Would you look at that!!! LOL!)

BTW you wouldn't happen to have any single sisters would you? LOL!

John

I am the lucky one he does more for me then i could have ever dreamed of. Thank you for all your help. Um my sister is 16 so i am going to have to say NO on that one. It is a automatic. I did a few searches on yahoo and found a bunch of tuners but i am kind of confused on what to buy.
