So does the throttle body not open all the way???

That's what Im wondering as well... If the throttle body does open all the way when you mash the gas then I will just leave it like it is.
I guess just have someone push the pedal all the way down, then try to open the TB up more manually from under the hood. I would try it but i dont have a helper

Ok, I tested it out.
I didnt have someone to hold the gas peddle down for me so I had to improvise though lol.. I put a zip tie on the throttle cable at the closed position, mashed the gas then checked to see how far down the throttle cable the zip tie got pushed. Then I manually opened the throttle body all the way and compared. It showed no difference, the throttle is fully opened by the peddle. I guess that mod is just for people who just want the gas to sit up higher. Idk I have long legs so mashing the gas to the floor is no problem for me
For the people that claim the car is quicker with the mod, perhaps they just have muscle memory from how the peddle was, and are now just opening the throttle body up more than they thought?

FWIW I have a 04 though, idk if the cable could have more slack in older models.

yeah i read that too and went outside and had my buddy floor it while i watched the throttle open.....it was open 100%
