Well it seems my car has very little response when i step on the gas, its just very slow moving coming from a stop, is this normal in mustangs? This is my first one, im just wondering what the issue could be.

 

First, a tuner and a TB/plenum should help, but what are you letting go at? If you're doing a regular release and then getting into it, you really need to get into the mid and upper range to get these cars moving. Without actually going out and dong it to figure out, I'd estimate that my car really starts to come on around 3000, and above 4000 or 4500 it really pulls.

 

Done the pedal mod yet?

 

I've read about it, but haven't done it yet. How much did you feel you got out of it?

Seems like quite a bit....well worth doing. I've done it to all my Fords, Mustangs, Escapes and Rangers...................

 

k another question, how much would a T/B help with the accelerating? Would i really notice the change?

 

I doubt the TB alone will do much but along with an upper plenum you get a good seat of the pants gain. I saw 5rwhp and 9rwtq with my BBK 75 TB and Trick Flow plenum. On the pedal mod ...don't even attempt the hose clamp methind. Just use big electrical cable ties on the throttle cable in place of the spacer/hose clamps. You'll be standing on you head long enough without those damn hose clamps to deal with.

 

i felt a pretty good jump in throttle response from my 70mm TB and american muscle intake spacer
