A different DR question.....
During AGGRESSIVE driving, do the softer sidewalls make the rear noticably looser? I'm not asking those who only take corners on city streets, I wanna know from AutoXers and those who play on mountain roads and enjoy hanging the tail out.
With the H&Rs and 4.10s, traction is a problem with my 295/35 Toyos and I'm trying to decide between DRs or a HPDE type tire like RT615s and NT01s. I want to hook in 1st on the street and at the track and still maintain a planted rear around turns.

If you wanna turn, then buy the NT01s, if you wanna hook in a straight line, buy MTs. You really cant compromise the 2. The ET street radials have a pretty stiff sidewall for a drag tire, and handle decent. But I wouldnt expect miracles around the mountain roads. One little bit of dust and your spinning in circles.
Then he should change out his rear lower arms for ones with stiffer bushings. I'd also replace the upper arm bushings with fresh stock bushings. DO NOT replace uppers with poly bushings. You'll damage the torque boxes if you do this. Pair it with a PHB and you'll be canyon carving with the best of them!
Adjustable rear sway wouldn't hurt either!

Running a DR is going to cause massive understeer. I hated it. I am running RT-615's all around now and I absolutely love them.
The DR's feel fine in street corners but once you push your car at all you will see understeer because of the increase of grip in the rear.
