Default Superchips tuner and JMod?

I am going to do the JMod to my 02 auto Gt, but was wondering if the Superchips tuner is okay to use with this? I have the older style (original) tuner. Will it harm the trans after the Jmod, make no difference at all, or make it even better? The tuner really does help shifting in an auto, but I would like to make it slightly better still if possible. Thanks!

to be honest with you i don't know how much more you'd want to mess with the tranny after doing the j-mod. I just finished one in my auto and its perfect IMO. If it shifted any harder on the 1-2 or 2-3 it would be pointless because i'd just be losing traction for that much longer. As of now it grabs about 2ft of rubber on the 1-2 at WOT

Your question was is it ok to use firmer shifts and Jmod and the answer is yes. But since the Jmod is so good, there really is no need to. But you can and it wont hurt the transmission.

+1. A tuner just adjusts line pressure, J-mod actually does good things in a mechanical sense to improve your transmission.

Thanks so much guys. Are there any other sites besides tccoa that might list the part numbers for the gaskets needed to complete this?

i bought a kit from blue oval chips, ordered it online and it worked perfecty. The j-mod is just a modification to the seperator plate (making a few holes bigger and creating some new ones), i just didn't want to screw with my stock one in case i ever wanted to switch it back so i ordered one already predrilled from blue oval. Aside from that i didn't need anything but tranny fluid to refill it, the kit even came with a new filter.

btw, the kit came with only a new seperator plate and a few springs, i didn't need the springs on my install, i left the 1-2 accumulator spring out, as well as the 2-3 lower spring i believe...what i'm getting at is there are no gaskets that you need
