Oh I do have a short throw shifter a PRO 5.0 one, it does the trick. bought it used for 80 bucks, took it apart and regeased it and it shifts like new. I just installed a 180 thermostat in the stang today too runs the same temp (just about) thought it would run a little colder.

Oh Bman2000, the light thing. Would it be a better idea to let the light turn and then start when I'm ready (does the time start from the light or when you roll across the staging sensors?)
Time doesnt start until you start... So you can sit there for 3 seconds then Launch when ur ready.. (to the Fans that dont know anything will think you got ur *** handed to u by the other car lol)

....that woudve helped to know that the light is more of a suggestion, b/c i was worrying more about the light and when to start than the car.....other than that, it was a really fun time
