Default Want to put 4.6l v8 from my 98 grand marquis and put it in a 98 3.8l v6 mustang.

I need help! I wrecked my 98 grand marquise with a 4.6l v8. The engine is still good and what i want to do is put it in my buddys 98 3.8l v6 mustang. Can this be done? If so what will i need and how will i need to go about it?

Well i heard, since the V8 engine is bigger you have to buy more stuff to hold the engine in the V6 cuz its to heavy, and they told me it would cost like 2 grand, so i just bought a V8 lol.. you should just sell that engine and the V6 and get a GT its soooo much better!

+1, it will be a PITA because you can't just drop it in. Good luck with whatever route you go, but I highly suggest saving some money and buying a GT. A GT will be worth more at resell, has a better rear, etc.

It definitely can be done with no problem. But I would never swap anything but a 99 up 4.6 PI motor into a car(later if your looking for a CV or GM PI). That 98 Grand Marquise 4.6 is a NPI POS V8
