ford racing 4.10's that's what my dad and my shop teacher said to get, they said it would really help with acceleration, and shouldn't affect fuel economy at all.

4.10s are the way to go. You will get better mileage in the city but worse on the highway. i can still get 300mpg to a tank with full bolt ons and 4.10s

5Speed. 16mpg in the city and 24 highway is the EPA estimates, usualy you can get way more. if you do 24+16=40/2 thats 20MPG average. 20mpgx15.7(the amount of gas the tank holds) thats 314 total miles of gas. Depending on how and where you drive, what mods you have etc i dont see a problem why you cant get 350mpg out of your car..given the right variables. most of the time when i pull up to the pump i have 250-270 miles on my trip gauge. I like to drive spiritedly on my way home from school(lots of winding roads). If i can control myself and drive like a granny 300 is easily obtainable.

If you plan to use an uncatted midpipe I would just stay away from any straight through muffler. In my own experience..

I stated out with a mac catback, added a mac catted x pipe. sounded orgasmic. Then I added pypes stainless long tubes, VRS or/x and LM2s... sounded great untill 4k rpm..then sounded like an old man ****ting himself.

I then swapped the o/rx for an o/rh..sounded way better.. but under heavy acceleration it made a loud clapping type of sound and that was ridiculous.

AFTER ALL THAT.. i swapped to a mac catted h pipe.. sounds ****...finally after about 1k spent in midpipes alone.

Im just going to start out with a cat back, then move on to the headers and x/h pipe.
