i called modmax about their cams. they said it can be ranned on a a blower and it all about the durations and how long it opened at .05. they asured me that those cams are fine with a blower and/or nitrous. my new problem is my tranny. i looked at 3 other guys that are pushing 500 hp and they have all their mod listed. havnt see one that replaced the tranny yet and he way over the recommended torque can if the has the tr-3650 tranny.

But ask them if they think their transmission is going to hold for much longer or if they go out and drag with it regularly. Their transmissions are probably hating life and wondering if this is the day that it bites the dust. And with your car being an 02, the 02 trannys are more prone to failure than the other years. Ive been through 2 and they both had the same problem...my stock one had 92K miles and this one now has 44K and has the same problem of it grinding going into 2nd and syncros wearing out and stuff. And if i was putting this much money into a car to supercharge it and do all that stuff to it, then i would also be willing to make sure other parts of the car arent going to fail because of the new added power. I mean you dont put slicks on a stock rear end and expect it to hold. So you should add gobs of power and expect everything stock to hold...unless you have a termie. Then youre good for a whipple or kb. But thats just me...i build for power before i make it.

yea will my engine went out and i have if fully disassembled and said to hell with the old and in with the new. i have a saleen though so i got that heaten supercharger. i already spent 2200 and am waiting for the post man. my other question is that those cams require upgraded valve springs. do i need to also get upgraded valve retainers too? the website just said springs and nothing about valve retainers.

I'm still running a stock 3650. Just don't drive it like an idiot and it will last for a long time. I have multiple launches and the tranny is still good. But I never drop from 5th to 3rd and nail it, that will kill the tranny fast.

If you think you are going to see anything close to 500RWHP with that Saleen . You are living on another planet my friend . And if the Saleen is a Series II . You're even further off than the Series IV . Even with the smallest upper pulley , and an oversized crank pulley . You will NEVER see that HP level . Even if you forge, stroke, p/p . It ain't happening .
