Default Ebay s/c.. turbo..

i like to browse ebay and noticed they have like supercharger and turbo kits on there pretty cheap, like an almost full brand new turbo kit for 1700? thats rediculous, naturally i laughed and said theres no way this is decent and it definately cant be trusted, but i cant really laugh at what i dont know about...

anybody know anything about these ebay s/c's and turbo's? ever use one or know anybody that does? obviously if they were actually decent anyone would be interested for the price, but what makes them able to make such a cheap kit as apposed to brand names, or is the brand name what you are paying for?

please dont just rip on me for asking about it, constructive comments/information would be appreciated

with turbos make sure its from a reliable company. nothing worse then having your compressor wheel breaking apart and flying into your engine.

ehh I looked over that kit, it looks alright to me. I mean most factory turbo cars use the cheapest crap they could possibly find, and master power is a reputable turbo company

What comes with the kit? I've seen turbo setups like the hellion kits and some of the twin kits that go for between $5500 and $7500, and then I've seen the kits that go for $3000. What I don't see in the cheap kit that is required to install it, I do see in the higher dollar kits. The pricey kits come with the necessary fuel system upgrades, the MAF, the tubular front end. Some of the kits have headers where some connect to the stock manifolds, etc.

when doing a turbo do you need to change your headers to like "turbo headers"? i happen to love my bassani optimum length ceramic headers, so if id have to replace them, idc what the kit looks like, im not interested, lol. but anyway with that 1700 dollar turbo, it really didnt look like it was bad, like i wouldnt put 16 psi through it but if you ran at a low like 8-10 psi i would think it would actually hold up? like for example, with the amount of time i go to the track, i wouldnt rip on it and i definately wouldnt want to run high psi, no more than 10 for sure...so someone just looking for a kick of power at low psi, wouldnt that work fine? lol, i mean they wouldnt sell it if it was total ****, and if the turbo blows, you already have all supporting components, you could always just buy a better turbo... am i right at all with what im saying? lol

900 hp is a lil excessive for me and it costs 7000.... i was asking about the cheapo stuff lol... what my question really comes down to are besides the turbo itself, are all the other components going to be pretty solid? like if i do break the turbo and throw a good one is there will all the supporting parts be good?

well your turbo, waste gate and blow off are the important parts.. the piping, so long as it doesn't leak is cheap stuff anyway. They do offer a master power T70 upgrade, which would be worth your while

the wouldnt it be cheaper to just buy a turbo then get the wastegate, blowoff, piping, and intercooler seperate? spend the money on the trubo wastegate and blowoff and get everything else cheap?
