Yea, my parents used to pull that card on me back when I was 18, but if I ever told them that I was going to the track instead of being out street racing they would have been more than happy to let me go.

Is she a co-signer or full owner of the car? Who pays the insurance?

that's not the point..

he lives at home.. meaning he's saving TONS of cash not paying rent, for food everyday, his own insurance/health insurance etc..

If you MUST go, then just go and don't tell her. That's sort of what I did the first time, and after that they were just like, well, don't F-up cause you'll be paying for it.

well most likely if you crash on the streets and you were street racing insurance would probably not cover it or if you got pulled over for street racing you would lose the car and not have it anymore

haha my mom still doesnt like me going to the track but i told her the story about when i went into phili and saws someone die street racing and she agrees with me now. Even if you crash your car on the street if you were racing they wont cover it, and chances are they will find out. tell her if you do crash then atleast people will be running to your help and not running away so they dont get caught.

Same here. That's why I guess I just dont understand where he is coming from here. If I wanted to do something I would just do it, I just assumed the responsibility that if I messed up then it was on my dime, not theirs. I guess I just have a different point of view because by the time I was 20 I had already lived on my own for 2 years and owned a '93 LX 5.0 that was in my name and the same with my truck.
