Default maf?

I have a vortech supercharger on my 04 gt. I need to get a bigger mass air meter but I can't figure out where to get one that is already calibrated to my injectors. I called sct but they said they dont know anything about the iat (sensor) being made into the sensor. And they told me I just need to get one and have it custom tuned.

Some people like them and others don't, but I'm running the stock MAF with a Diablosport MAFia adapter without any trouble.

with the mafia does it let you recalibrate it to the injectors? my issue is the vortech tune is way to ritch. I have to pull their chip out and start from a stock tune. but my tuner says i need to get a bigger maf.

If you are going to do a complete retune, do not try finding a "calibrated inj. " maf!!!! This is/was the old school way of doing it. We have tuning software these days, so no need for it.

Check out the Sniper tuning software and 95mm MAF. You can tune your combo great with this...

^+1...

You DO NOT NEED a so-called "calibrated" MAF if youi have a custom tune and/or tuner--in fact a "calibrated" MAF (without documentation of the actual transfer function) can screw things up so badly that it cannot be straightened out...

I am surprised that SCT claimed no knowledge of "the iat (sensor) being made into the sensor"--it's only been 8 years since Ford started doing it that way.

In any event, if you feel you need a higher capacity MAF then just buy one and make sure it comes with at least a 30-point transfer function, and send a copy of it to your tuner--if they are worth anything they'll know what to do with it, if they don't then they are not worth anything...
