Default Track modifications

Rookie poster here!

Found a 2002 GT Convertible (nicely red) with only 6,503 miles on it. Picked it up yesterday. Ahhhh, back in a muscle car again! ((first one was an almost new 68 Hemi Barracuda!))

My intentions are to improve the GT as a road and track performer. No strip stuff for my almost age 60 frame! I'd like to pick up about 55-60 hp with the torque band fatter in 40-80 mph range and get the cornerning ability up.

It came with brand new Falken ZE-502s. A rather inexpensive tire but the word on the net is they perform very well. First drives seem to confirm that. Tread wear will not be great but this will be a weekend and vacation trip car.

My question for all you folks is 'what is a good resource point for the project of making this a great track performer'? What I am really looking for is a total project report out, with an overview of a target similar to mine.

Mike
