could i see how the car sounds with no air filter just to see if it will be louder becuse of the more air

No I said you would need a tune. Like Mustang3GT07 said, dont be a cheap *** and buy an intake.

Not really sure why you want to take off the lid to see if it's "louder". Just buy the intake, there are at least a few HP that can be had with a S/C car like yours.

at 5psi you are not really going to hear a whine. At 7 I could not hear it hardly. At 10 it screams like hell. Listen to what everyone else has said and stop trying to take the cheap way out. you will regret it.

if you have a saleen you should at least be able to drop 100 bucks to get a used intake, but id probably go for a pulley and tune if you want it to wine more and make more power. At 5lbs of boost your probably only making like 330rwhp anyways

Not safely, custom is the only way to go when it comes to s/c applications.

Where in MD are you? There are TONs of speed shops in MD Im sure someone can tune it. I get my stuff done in Delaware but its really close to MD and if your willing to drive its worth the $$
