^ coil overs are around the shock, so will not be in play with LCA's. Below is a quick-pic I found and is of a '34 Ford, but same idea:

erm...ok i understand the coilover concept, its not that part i was confused about. It's the control arm i guess,...it has perch to mount the factory spring normally(i think??) So when you use coilovers, it still sits it the same position as the shocks normally bolt in then? And then the spring perch is just no longer used? And this makes no adverse effect on the lca? i dunno i guess im still a noob with the suspension..lol

Yup, the spring perch of the LCA is just not used.

I have no spring perches on my LCA's as they are Griggs and designed for the use of CO's. I would be in serious trouble if I wanted to go back to standard springs
