Reason why he put a different size tire was because its his daily driven car to go to work and the car he mistreats ( he does not care a bit about the mach1) Were were taking his 91 Coupe but we didnt get it ready that day and the mach1 had one tire on the back was flat and really bad so he had a 265 laying around and we just replaced it and went to the track like that for the heck of it. He still did a 2.0 60ft taking off at 2-2300. Mods are 410s C&L CAI and a super chip tune he did. 1/8th time best was 8.508.

You do realize that not only were those back tires a different width but a different height as well, don't you? I guarantee you he didn't 60' hard enough to break them, there is some other underlying issue if it's not directly related to the tire size.

let me explain how tires sizes work... (265/35-17) means the tire is 265mm wide and the height is 35% of 265mm. (275/35-17) means the tire is 275mm wide and the height is 35% of 275mm. So you are saying that 35% of 265 = 35% of 275? Um no!

What I put in bold is you saying exactly what I said... a 2.0 60' will not break an axles, but stuff like mismatched tire heights, and him abusing the car could. BTW a 2.0 is not a great 60' so don't waste your time bragging on it.

Back to the OPs question. Without good tires don't expect much gain with those mods. You'll probably spin more out the hole.
