HP = $$$$ if you have a 2v and you want power then you need $$$. fact of life. but you can peice togethor a s/c kit for 1500 with no problems, install it yourself and get it tuned and your only in the hole around 1850 or so. not bad for 400rwhp imo.
t/b and plenum combos add more throttle response than hp, but typically yeild 5hp or so on n/a 2vs. cai/rai add nothing. they are only good for looks, and dont waste your money on an intake manifold. the PI manifold is perfect for anything less than h/c

Yeah to be honest I want to keep the stock rims. They are in great shape, I just remember a picture of a white mustang (I believe it was oxfordGT) who had the cobra spoiler with the GT bumper and it was NASTY looking. And I think he had the rear tires sticking past the panel. Im not trying to make it look like a "vato" mobile either. So I guess Ill get 265's (if they fit on stock).
My buddy suggested flowmaster 40 series so Ill look into that.
as for the intakes, I would get cold air but Idk if Ill waste the money because I dont plan on S/C my car.
Thanks for the input guys.

Do you have the 17x8 Aluminum Alloy rims? If so 275 is very do-able. I'm not entirely positive but I dont think a 99-04 stang was ever made with a rim width of less than 8 inches....unless it was like a basic package v6.....correct me if i'm wrong. 275s are the very top end of being "safe" on an 8 inch rim though.

Yeah Ill look into that. To be honest I don't like the way the Flowmaster 40 series sounds. Even with a MAC O/R. I was trying to find Bassani sound clips without any pipes but it is impossible

are you installing the kit yourself?
