throw a blower on it and you will be a bit closer to your goal.
a 98 GT isn't exactly the best platform.

better heads, supercharger, full bolt ons, clutch, fly wheel, gears, suspension, drag radials. Damn you might as well trade it in on a 03-04 cobra and change the pully, do a full exhuast and tune, boom you just "smoked" a stock LS1.

150 shot should do it.
if you want to stay n/a then you really dont have much chance unless the ls1 driver cant drive
