Default First time track day

Went to the track today for the first time. My first run was horrible! Forgot to turn off traction control and missed third gear, a couple other runs I missed third and had too much tire spin off the line. Best time was 14.513 @ 96.35mph and a reaction time of .187 with 2.224 60 foot time. Felt pretty good about that run, for it was the first time ever racing at the track. Any advice would be great!

How are you missing 3rd with the Tri-Ax?

Not bad for your first time, I had about the same trap speed my first time and ran a 14.1 with a 2.1 60'. I would say you can get at least that out of your car next time out.

I know..I shouldn't be missing at all! I just wasn't engaging my shift all the way and once I got to the front of the shift gate I let of my clutch and my shifter popped back down to neutral. Just need more practice I guess.

Don't feel bad at all.

I had essentially the same mods + 4.10's, and my first time to the track my best was a 14.545@99.XX with a 2.22 60'

Practice, and DR's and now I'm 13.6 with the exact same mods.
