Default thinking about lowering

So i just bought 18' saleens and was thinking about completing the look with some eibach springs. The only thing holding me back is the worrying of scraping my pipes or chin spoiler. Is this a real big issue for anyone who has lowered there car?

Rims coming in a week, then finally puttin some pics up!

Your going to need to lower it after you put those 18's on..unless you like the jeep look..LOL. Don't go with a serious drop and you should be fine.

haha, well i was lookin at the eibach pro-kit, heard nothing but good things. That wouldn't be too low would it? Unfortunately i live in North Bergen and the roads have pot holes as often as you see sooped up honda civics. And how much does installation on these bad boys run for?

Congrats on your new wheels and the drop of your springs will be just fine

Your looking at about 1.5" with them and is about as much as I like to see on otherwise stock suspension of a Stang. You will be a bit stiffer ride and need to be more careful of curbs and such. Just accept a few bumps/bruses here and there on your bumpers.

you'll be fine with a prokit and 18's. i have the sportlines(2in drop) and scrape my mid pipe on any little bump, but the mid pipe does hang a little low. other than that i barely scrape my bumper or mufflers.

I have the prokit and i scrape a bit every once and a while. But I would like a little bit more drop than what i have now. I have 18's as well and it just doesnt do it for me at all. Im gonna go with H&R SuperSport springs instead. They are about a 2" drop and thats more around where i wanna be.

On my old stang(94 gt) they charged me $200. This stang i have changed out springs 3x by myself and it isn't a big deal. I can do a set in less than 2 hour np. All you need is basic hand tools. I actually just did my 3rd set this morning in the rain and threw a set of pro kits on it.
