Default Is it bad......?

to have no mufflers? I hear that if you have no mufflers you lose the needed back pressure to keep up the performance. Comments/Facts needed

Thanks

Well before i bought it like 3 weeks ago, i noticed there were no mufflers on it. It doesn't sound too bad really.....I kind of like it but there are some times where it gets some annoying pops.

No i do not plan on taking the cats off.

id just buy a new catback and catted midpipe.

im willing to bet the stock 2.25in piping is hurting your performance more than the muffler delete.

No its not hurting anything. You have enough backpressure from your cats.

why the hell would your motor "need" backpressure? you want as little backpressure as possible in your exhaust, because all backpressure does is rob power from your motor having to work harder to expend exhaust gases. if an engine needed backpressure, then race cars wouldn't run open exhaust.
