If you paint remember to get Hi temp paint. Maybe even consider getting some of that Dupli-Color caliper paint. that stuff is durable and heat resistant
Yea, that does suck...
You should just drive down to LA for a vacation or something and bring all of you powder coating equipment!!

I do plan to use high temp paint. Just want the finish to come out nice. I think i might try to paint it this weekend... If it doesnt come out right, i will just take all the paint off and bring it to have it PC'ed monday.

What do yall think?
2 coats primer-4 coats base-3 coats clear?
or leave out the primer and just do base and clear?
You have to use primer because the base colr coat will not stick to bare metal.
Use a degreaser such as electrical contact cleaner, sprayed onto the part to blast away ANY residual oils or other contaminants.Acetone will work but I like the idea of pressure cleaning the small cracks around the fittings and so on.
Prime so you get a good coverage with no metal showing through.
Follow the directions as far as drying time.
Lightly sand if required. Some primers don't require sanding if you spray the topcoat after a certain amount of time.
Paint.

Powder coat is the best way to go but since this part will be protected from the elements,I'd go with paint.(high temp BTW)

powdercoating looks sick, if you spent that much on the blower might as well shell out a little more on making it look badass.

LMAO!!! not my thing... Not really into the whole chromed out engine thing. Plus, its not like i ride around without a hood. so the only time ppl would see it would be at a car show. Which is maybe 6 times a year.

I had seen that.. It looked really good. The half cage is also on the list of things to do to this car. Just have to get the motor together first or there is no point in having a cage.
I am going to do the manifold and s/c backing gloss black.

Good call! I didnt even notice that(figured rear mount system). i checked his sig/garage and it doesnt list any sort of turbo system. Also, his pic he has posted in the garage does not show a i/c behind the facia...?
