Wtf... We need a thread for everyone that doesn't know year/model specific parts...

99,01 Cobra tail lights? Cmon guys..

Its too bad really, out here in CA, everyone and their mom has a mustang(almost always v6) and they do stupid **** to it: stripes, 20-22" chrome wheels("RIMS"), fake vents n ****, makes me want to kill babies.

NEVER EVER EVA put GT badges on a Cobra. It'd be the worst if somebody beat your Cobra, but thought they actually beat a GT cuz you have the mixed up badges! That would give us all a bad rep!

[hope you caught the sarcasm]

Lower it with a good suspension, tint the windows, and keep it looking like a 2001 Cobra.

Usually 9 times out of 10, you can't go wrong with keeping a car looking stock. You could do subtle changes like hood swaps, but make it an oem hood and not something like an Evo hood. Keeping the car stock takes the attention away from you so when you have some punk kid pull up next to you in his Honda and says, "Oh snaps, I gots a Vtech son (vroom vroom, aka fart fart)." In which you just glance over, crack a little smile and demolish him.

lower it, clear corner headlights, wheels of your choice no bigger than 18", and window tint

if you insist on a hood, get something suttle like a 03/04 hood or a 2" cowl, or 95 cobra r hood etc

Keeping it close to looking stock probably makes it easier to sell too. I've seen some Mustangs that had such unusual things done to it, that it would most certainly restrict the interest when time comes to sell it.

Do whatever you want.

I'd suggest some wider wheels. They look better than the stock 8 inch wide wheels.

That pic makes my insides itch.lol Just keep it "stockish" instead of realativlly stock. As long as you lower, tint and replace with other relative parts (ie: a 03/04 cobra hood on a 99/01 cobra, 40 aniversary cobra wheels etc) you will be fine. One exception to me is there is a guy on here with a red mach 1 who names eludes me at the moment, he has a 03/04 cobra bumper on it with the intercooler sitting behind it and looks so badass! One of the best looking New edges I have ever seen.

that pic was obviously photoshopped. there is only two of those extra foglights on the 02s.

this is the original pic...still looks like hell though.

btw...i think the member you are talking about is faurnoix or something along those lines.

For a Cobra I only think any OEM looking body parts should be used.
I hate it when people put wings on Bullitts.
