Jazzer never said they didn't "fit", but what no one seems to get is that tire sidewalls are DESIGNED AND PERFORM BEST when perpendicular to the tread surface.

The bottom line is, regardless of how well a 275 works on a 8" wheel, a 245 will ALWAYSALWAYSWAYS perform better.

A lot of guys do it for looks....personally I think it looks like ***. OP, if you want the best handling possible, 245/45/17. A 255 will work. A 275 is a waste of $ but if you want a wider look and you're too cheap to buy wheels that the tire will actually fit on.
