Default Adding a sub and amp to a 99-04 with Mach 460 system.

I have a 02 GT with the factory Mach 460 system. I just purchased a Kenwood 1300 w/max 12" sub (in a bandpass box) and a Kenwood 1000 w/ max amp. I have the power wire, ground wire, rca cable, remote wire. How do I hook the rca and remote wires up to the factory system? I feel sure the Ford radio doesnt have preouts.

It's a PITA to wire anything to the stock mach setup. I attempted to do this at first and ended up pulling everything out and rewiring/changed all the speakers. If you really wanna do this then go get a ford wiring harness adapter from crutchfield, I think they have everything you need.

Subwoofers add weight. Weight is the enemy of performance.

Here is a good write-up on how to do exactly that:

Yea, I am torn myself. I had 2 10" subs in my old explorer, and pulled them out when I traded it in. They're still sitting in the basement. If I could get a super-lightweight box or something I'd consider putting them in, but they won't be weightless either way.
