Will these Mods help?????
Hi everyone, im new here and i just bought a 2004 mustang gt 5 speed.
i just bought the following mods and would like to know from anyone out there if the car will gain alot of power with these mods and actually feel the difference????? im also planning on putting some nitrous on it, with the new intake manifold what is the highest shot of nitrous that is being used today by these modular engines???? Really appreciate it guys thanks.

Out of all my bolt ons (mods in sig) the only ones i could feel were the long tubes & h pipe, gears, and tune. So out of your list, i think the tuner will have the most "feel" to it.
With nitrous the intake won't be the limiting factor here. It's powdered rods and pistons. The only difference is that the stock plastic intake could crack due to a backfire. But that would not happen if your kit is setup correctly or if you use a dry kit (which is what i have).
I've ran a 100 shot for over a year now, without a single issue. You could probably squeeze a 125-150 shot (if tuned right) but i wouldn't do it on a stock motor. As it is i've gained over 100 hp and 200 tq. That's plenty imo!

T/b and plenum you will feel the throttle response pickup. Tuner will help if you bump your tune up to a 93 octane tune(or highest octane around you). The intake manifold, from what ive heard, is not a great manifold. You will lose low end with it and not gain enough to make it worth it. Youre buying the manifold for the insurance of not blowing the stocker to pieces. If i were you, i'd make gears next on your list as well as some sort of exhaust. Whether it be just an o/r midpipe or longtubes, youre gonna want that thing to breathe easier. Also, get a shifter when you can. Steeda Tri-ax here and i love it. Shifts itself...not really but its pretty darn close. But mods you'll feel are gears, exhaust, t/b and plenum, tune, and shifter because of having to shift your car. lol
You're right about the hard shock to the internals, but alot of this can be minimized by a good tuner. Having the mixture progressivley lean out as the N20 engages by simply pulling timing out only when the nitrous initially hits. This will soften the shock big time!

meh..if you plan on boost i wouldnt get the pullies. and you really dont need a intake manifold right now, your not making enough power. these cars can handle up to a 125 shot. you can do a 100 shot without a tune too from what i've read on here.
good luck with big hp gains from those mods. you may see 5hp if your lucky.
as for nitrous, im partial to wet kits, stick with the plate over the nozzle since the plate sprays more evenly and yeilds more power for the same size shot.

99 out of 100 people on here who have done the whole mod thing are going to tell you one of two things:
1) do gears, exhaust (especially midpipe and headers) and tuner before you spend any money on most of that stuff you just bought. Or..
2) don't buy a damn thing until you've saved up enough money to supercharge it.
