Default thinking about manning up

i have been waiting for some people to get the new trick flow heads and seeing what kind of gains they get but ive got the urge to buy them. ive got a few question....what would be better to get the 38cc or the 44cc TF heads and would a stage 2 n/a cam be a good cam to go with? id appreciate it if someone could chime in and help me out

38 vs 44 is dependent on your application. If you're going N/A, go with 38cc, you'll have higher compression. F/I, use 44cc.

if you're sure you'll stay n/a, then go with the 38cc. if you have any plans involving f/i in the future, go with the 44cc head. will you be keeping the 100 shot? this is something else to consider, i'm not real familiar with nitrous so maybe someone else can help out there. a stage 2 n/a cam would be good for your application, pretty much a street/strip car right? a stage 3 cam would probably be too much for the street. power wouldn't come in until higher in the rpm range, and i doubt any (sane) driver cruises around town at 4k rpm.

check out the paragraph titled "2.2.1.1 Static vs. Dynamic Compression". they recommend a max of 10:1 (static) compression ratio on a nitrous motor. do you have a built bottom end?

I take it you're going to forge the motor then? 100 shot + TS heads would probably be over 450 rwhp...not to mention the torque!

Btw, what stage 1 cams do you have?
